Rather pleasant 2 star hotel offering comfortable rooms.

Built on an ancient Roman amphitheatre, very close to the magnificent basilica of Santa Croce and 100 meters from Piazza della Signoria, this 2-star hotel does not look like much, it's true. The building is rather pleasant but the entrance with its neon lights does not attract the eye. However, the interior is neat and impeccable and the rooms are comfortable, even if the decoration is a bit lacking. Its location pleads in its favour. As well as the great kindness, the availability and the professionalism of the team.

L'hotel Santa Croce è una piccola perla nel cuore del Centro Storico di Firenze. Tanto piccolo quanto grande è la storia che qui si respira. Metti il naso fuori della porta e sei già in Piazza Santa Croce, vicinissimo a tutti i luoghi più importanti di Firenze, raggiungibili a piedi in pochissimi minuti. La comodità della posizione è resa ancora più preziosa dallo staff. Mario, Gabriele e Fabrizio sono delle persone eccezionali, che si mettono a completa disposizione per garantire all'ospite un soggiorno più che piacevole. Sanno mettere il cliente così a proprio agio che sembra quasi di stare a casa con degli amici, senza però trascurare la professionalità e l'educazione. Sanno consigliare luoghi percorsi e ristoranti, se c'è necessità sono loro stessi a farsi da tramite con la trattoria o il ristorante. La prima colazione è ottima, con paste fresche o confezionate, piccolo angolo con il salato e bevande calde preparate al momento. Le camere sono piccine ma pulitissime, calde e confortevoli. Vale la pena fermarsi qui per un breve soggiorno a Firenze.

Rooms were ok. But no fridge or microwave..small TV. Ac ir conditioning could have been better..breakfast was ok. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
