Low cost youth hostel in an old convent near the central station of Santa Maria Novella, no age limit
A youth hostel located in a former 15th century convent... why not? There is no age limit to sleep in the rooms or dormitories of Hostel Santa Monaca, which is what makes it so charming, with each generation of travelers bringing their share of travel experiences. Due to the low prices and the location, in the San Frediano district (a short distance from Santa Maria Novella main station), it is strongly recommended to book well in advance during the season.

단점
1. 위생이 좋은편이 아니다. 방은 그럭저럭 이였고 화장실에는 곰팡이가 피어있었다.
2.엘리베이터가 없다.
계단이 좁고 가팔라서 캐리어 가지고 오르락거리는게 꽤 힘이든다. 참고로 체크인전후 짐보관 가능한데 짐보관소가 1.5층 쯤에 있으니 체크아웃후에 짐 맡길예정이면 힘들게 1층까지 가져오지말고 먼저 키받아서 맡기고 오는게 나을듯

It didn't work inside the rooms neither in the common areas. There is no signal basically
- IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP because you can hear everything from all the rooms and from the corridor. The doors are so thin that 2am there were two people chatting in the corridor and I woke up and couldn't sleep again, even though I asked then to lower their voice.
- HORRIBLE TOWELS that you pay 1 euro for
- If you do the checkout, and want to leave your bags until it's time to leave, you have two options: one is to pay more so they can watch your bags and two is to leave your bags in a room that ANYONE CAN ROB YOU and take anything because they say they are not responsible if someone robs you inside the hostel. There isn't even a camera. If you want your things to be safe, you have to pay more.
Other hostels that I have been offered better services for this.
Basically: too expensive for what it offers. I payed 55 euros for a night there.
