Between the monumental palazzo Strozzi and the piazza della Repubblica, don't miss this old and charming cinema, one of the first theatres in Italy. Cinema Odeon is an important place that has made and seen the history of cinema in Florence. All the most beautiful films, the most illustrious guests, the most important events take place in this large hall in the historic centre, inaugurated on 14 December 1922 and located inside a Renaissance palace, the superb Palazzo dello Strozzino (designed by Filippo Brunelleschi).
