Yet off the tourist trail and out of the historic center, this former tobacco factory, in operation until 2001, has quickly become a hip spot since it opened in summer 2019. Underneath this rationalist architecture from the Mussolini era, there is a vibrant cultural program of exhibitions, concerts, clubbing and open-air cinema. Several designers and start-ups have already taken up residence in this huge 100,000 square meter complex, located between Piazza Puccini and Cascine Park.
