CHIESA SANTA TRINITÀ
One of the oldest Gothic churches in Florence with a baroque façade dating from 1594 and a sober interior
This Gothic church is one of the oldest churches in Florence (xie century). It is not well known, but the harmony of its structure deserves a visit at any rate. Its baroque facade dates from 1594. The interior, more sober, contains magnificent works. The Sassetti chapel is the jewel of the church. Domenico Ghirlandaio, the master of Michelangelo, decorated it with frescoes depicting the life of Saint Francis. Other artists like Luca della Robbia and Lorenzo Monaco have enriched the church with important works.
