MUSEO HORN
Museum exhibiting interesting collections of Renaissance paintings assembled by Londoner Herbert Percy Horne in Florence.
In the superb Palazzo Corsi, dating from the end of the Quattrocento (15th century), there is an interesting collection of Renaissance paintings assembled by the Londoner Herbert Percy Horne, who lived in Florence. This architect and art historian was notably known as a great specialist of Sandro Botticelli. The collection includes works by Giotto, Masaccio, Filippino Lippi, Simone Martini and Domenico Beccafumi, as well as a library and sketches of sculptures, notably those attributed to Bernini and Giambologna.
