Home of one of the first writers of Italian language and the author of the Divine Comedy, poem published in 1302

Born in Florence in 1265, Dante was one of the first writers in the Italian language, and the author of The Divine Comedy, a poem published in 1302. Its narrative and historical ambition, and its immense wealth of expression, make this text one of the masterpieces of literature. Dante was not only one of history's great poets, but also a politician in troubled times. According to historians, this house was the birthplace of the writer, but the museum is of little interest, with very few objects that once belonged to him.

Voir la maison de l'extérieur suffit largement, sauf si vous êtes un inconditionnel de Dante. Son architecture vaut vraiment le coup d'oeil par contre. C'est vraiment une jolie petite maison.
