Located in the former Leopoldine hospital(complesso dello spedale delle Leopoldine), in piazza Santa Maria Novella, this museum is dedicated to the Italian art of the 20th century, known as "novecento" in Italian. The collection of approximately 300 works, including paintings, sculptures, videos, installations and documents, is spread over fifteen bright exhibition rooms. After the success of the Museo del Novecento in Milan, opened in 2010, Florence in turn inaugurated its museum in 2014, which presents an interesting historical-cultural perspective of the last century.
