CHIESA SAN FRANCESCO
A small church dedicated to St. Francis, both in the middle of the world and secluded from it all, in Fiesole.
In the place of the old acropolis, stands this small church, dedicated to Saint Francis, which dates back to the 14th century. The rather rigorous ascent makes us understand why the Franciscans chose this place, nicknamed the "Rocca de Fiesole". With its breathtaking view of the valley, the church is both in the middle of the world and secluded from everything, as the climb isolates it. Inside, works by the Florentine sculptor Luca della Robbia, the painter Neri dei Bicci and Piero di Cosimo's The Immaculate Conception.
