CONVENTO SAN DOMENICO
Dominican convent in Fiesole, whose church dates back to the 15th century.
The six-columned portico of the Convent of St. Dominic opposite you was built in 1623, to designs by Matteo Nigetti. The church itself dates back to the 15thcentury . The six side chapels were added between 1488 and 1592. On the right as you enter, in the first chapel, a Crucifixion by the Botticelli school (second half of the 15th century). Don't hesitate to ask the Dominican Fathers to show you around the cloister, dating from 1486, not forgetting the Crucifixion in the chapter house, a famous fresco attributed to Fra Angelico.
