DUOMO
Beautiful cathedral of Romanesque style, founded in the century with Gothic alterations and dedicated to St. Stephen.
Dedicated to Saint Stephen, a beautiful Romanesque cathedral probably founded in the 5th century with Gothic alterations around the 12th century, and a white and green marble covering from Prato. The bell tower, built by Guidetto da Como at the beginning of the 13th century, was completed with the three-lobed window cell in 1356. Inside you can admire a pulpit of Donatello, frescoes by Filippo Lippi decorating the Major Chapel, and by Paolo Uccello in the Chapel of the Assumption. The beautiful Romanesque cloister dates back to the second half of the 12th century.
