CENTRO PECCI
One of the last Tuscan art museums to exhibit some of the most important works of contemporary art
Founded in 1988, the Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art is one of the latest additions to Tuscan art museums. Often forgotten from tourist routes, he nevertheless exhibits some of the most important works of contemporary art. Designed by the Florentine rationalist architect Italo Gamberini, this complex is built around volumes supported by a metal structure. Glass prisms allow light to enter the rooms. It offers a permanent collection, temporary exhibitions at the international level and multimedia events.
