ALBERGACCIO NICCOLÒ MACHIAVELLI
The house where the Renaissance humanist thinker Machiavelli lived for 15 years and where he wrote his most famous books
In Sant'Andrea in Percussina, three kilometres from San Casciano in the direction of Florence, this is the house where the Renaissance humanist thinker Machiavelli (1469-1527) lived for fifteen years, and where he wrote his most famous books. Today, it has become a small museum, the headquarters of the two wine associations of Gallo Nero and Chianti Classico, as well as a restaurant that offers a meticulous cuisine, inspired by traditional Tuscan recipes.
