MONTEFIORALLE
One of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its stone alleys, accessible on foot from Greve
One of the most beautiful villages in Italy with stone alleys and its circular street lined with medieval houses and towers. Accessible by foot from Greve in 20 minutes, this village is a great idea for a stroll, to discover this little jewel, successively owned by the Ricasoli, Benci, Gherardini and Vespucci families. The birthplace of navigator Amerigo Vespucci (1454-1512), who gave his (first) name to America, is located on the main street; the porch is identified by a wasp (vespa) and a "V", distinctive signs of the Vespucci family.
