VIGNAMAGGIO
One of Tuscany's oldest agricultural estates, founded by the Gherardini family in Greve in Chianti
Founded in the 14th century by the Gherardini family, Villa Vignamaggio is one of the oldest agricultural estates in Tuscany. A very well organised wine-growing estate (but also a top-of-the-range agritourism and restaurant), Vignamaggio has been offering visits to its entire estate since 1987. It has nearly 140 hectares dedicated to the vine, 22 others to olive cultivation. It is possible to taste Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Vinsanto and their delicious extra virgin olive oil, with a selection of salumi and local cheeses.
