Go to Lucarelli, five kilometers south of Panzano in Chianti, to discover this hamlet located at 285 meters above sea level along the river Pesa and its church of San Martino built in 1938. There, a gourmet village inn, a bit like a postcard, offers tasty traditional Tuscan dishes, including gnudi, pici with wild boar, maltagliati with porcini mushrooms, la finocchiona... The pasta is of course homemade and the meats succulent. The menu changes every month, reflecting the best of seasonal products. Simple but so good!

Ein sehr angenehmer Landgasthof. Ohne übermäßigen Chic, aber mit weißen Stofftischdecken, sehr gutem und freundlichem Service. Uns haben besonders die Vorspeisen gefallen: Involtini aus Auberginen, mit Frischkäse gefüllt, kleine Blumenkohl-Törtchen und Tartar. Von den Hauptspeisen gefielen mir die Schweinebäckchen, die Pasta mit Kaninchen und das Ofengemüse am besten, die Lammkoteletts fielen im Vergleich etwas ab. Das Essen ist deutlich besser als in wesentlich teureren Restaurants in Siena.
Es gibt eine reiche Auswahl an Weinen aus der Region und aus dem restlichen Italien.
Die Preise sind ein gutes Drittel niedriger als in Deutschland.
Insgesamt ein Genuss!
