Go to Lucarelli, five kilometers south of Panzano in Chianti, to discover this hamlet located at 285 meters above sea level along the river Pesa and its church of San Martino built in 1938. There, a gourmet village inn, a bit like a postcard, offers tasty traditional Tuscan dishes, including gnudi, pici with wild boar, maltagliati with porcini mushrooms, la finocchiona... The pasta is of course homemade and the meats succulent. The menu changes every month, reflecting the best of seasonal products. Simple but so good!

Some amazing food. We stopped here on our last night in Tuscany with a group of about 20. Several courses with multiple options in each course. Every dish was outstanding. Very memorable meal.

Wellicht kwamen we een eerste keer langs in 2005 of 6. Een tiental keer hebben we sindsdien vakantie genomen in deze fantastische streek. Nooit hebben we Le Panzanelle overgeslaan. Het is simpelweg de enige eetgelegenheid (van het te grote aantal dat we bezoeken ;-)) die altijd de verwachtingen weet in te vullen. Le Panzanelle is misschien wel de bakermat van onze familiale liefde voor Italia en Toscana in het bijzonder. Tot volgende keer!
