Slightly off-centre, on the road leading to Siena, La Chiantina is a landmark for locals who wish to enjoy a well-cooked cuisine, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. A pretty room, where the friendly welcome makes you feel comfortable. As a starter, the beef carpaccio and its pesto trio will delight lovers of meat and originality. The first courses follow, mainly pasta specialities such as pici cacio e pepe or the famous risotto with pecorino and hazelnuts. The second dishes reflect the Tuscan tradition. In the end, the desserts change every day!

Accueil vraiment pas terrible, notre vin était bouchonné mais une des serveuse n’était pas d’accord et nous l’a bien fait sentir qu’on l’avait embêté pour toute la durée du repas… Au moins elles ont bien rigolé entre elle et avec la cuisine, mais vraiment pas aimable avec nous. Sommes restaurateurs de métier, ma femme sommelière, quand un vin a un goût de bouchon, on le sait. Bref, quand on a eu une réduction de 20%, je pense qu’on nous traite pas pareil. Nous sommes des personnes aimables souriantes polis et respectueuses de notre corps de métiers qui peut être difficile quand les clients le sont, hors ce n’est vraiment pas notre cas. Nous avons parlé avec une famille de français qui ont passé un très bon moment, tant mieux pour eux :( la cuisine excellente mérite un service un peu plus aimable… Bonne saison à vous et bon courage
