VERTINE
One of the few towns that remained intact, spared from the disastrous and incessant Florentine struggles of the past
Three kilometres up in the hills of Gaiole in Chianti, this is one of the few villages that has remained intact, spared by the disastrous and incessant Florentine struggles of yesteryear. It is accessed through a door flanked by a stone tower. This pretty hamlet, located in the heart of Chianti, includes a small café and two typical Tuscan castles, one of which is the Castello Vertine property. Restored in the 16th century, Vertine, which can be visited on foot, invites you to discover its history, its picturesque alleys, like a journey back in time.
