Just a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo, with a number of elegant rooms decorated in Tuscan style.

Just a stone's throw from the Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral, in an ancient medieval residence, charm, comfort and service are the hallmarks of this one-bedroom address. The owner offers a warm welcome and all the information you need to visit and enjoy the city. A way of passing on her passion for Siena. The harmonious decor of the rooms reflects the elegance of the Tuscan style, and every detail has been taken care of. Enjoy an excellent breakfast in the morning.

Eccellente ed elegante b&b nel cuore della città di Siena
Consigliato per cortesia, pulizia, colazione, posizione centralissima.

The place is highly charming. If you like a feeling of previous times, respect well maintained historical places, avoid overcrowded spaces, you should feel highly pleasant here.
The location is central, 5-minutes walking distance to all top attractions.
The breakfast is basic but with freshly prepared coffee upon your wish.
The place has a nice living room as shared space, interesting books on Siena, its vast art heritage, flawless wi-fi.
The owner is very nice, helpful and attentive.
Despite all the evident charms our experience in one of the suites did not live up to all expectations. The street where the room windows are is too active for calm staying and sound isolation inside this part of the building is too poor. Traffic with its evident constant noise presence inside your sleeping environment stops only deep at night to come back to you again at 6 in the morning. The emotional state of visitors of a nearby osteria choosing the street for smoking sessions also becomes part of your late evening-early night reality. Guests from the upper room walk vigorously in heels right on top of your head.
The advantage can always be found. The earlier you wake up, the sooner you start exploring the city. So, if you are noise resistant or have cronical insomnia, the place can be enjoyed by you.

5 plus stars in every respect. It's always a bit of a gamble booking somewhere in a city you've never been to. I booked Antica Residenza Cicogna on the recommendation of Rick Steves in his Florence/Tuscany travel book. It was perfect and almost beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived until the morning we left we could only rave about these accommodations. We stayed in the Ricami Suite with its beautifully detailed ceiling frescos and lovely antiques. We were happy to have air conditioning which allowed us to shut our windows at night thus did not hear any street noises below. We were on the 1st floor. We had to walk up one flight from the lobby but if we chose to we had direct access out the back door which was on the same level. Elisa recommended a couple of restaurants and even made reservations for us.

If you have the chance to visit Siena and stay in this lovely Bed and Breakfast make sure you have Elisa tell you the history of this centuries old gem. Perhaps we will return one day. If not, we will surely recommend Antica Residenza Cicogna to our family and friends. It was a pleasure meeting both Elisa and Ilaria.

This B&B is a wonderful gem. The medieval building is beautifully and historically renovated. Our room had beautiful frescos on the ceiling and antique furniture. Major updates were done, adding very effective remotely controlled A/C in each room, and bringing the bathroom into the 21st century, including a traditional toilet, a bidet, and a shower with plenty of pressure and hot water

The building is owned and run by Elisa, who is a treasure. The building has been in her family for hundreds of years, and her love of the building and its history is very apparent.

Elisa was a good source for restaurant suggestions.
