Complex of church, cloister and monastery in Siena
The complex consists of a church, a cloister and a monastery (University headquarters). In the imposing church, founded by Carmelite monks in the 14th century: a painting on wood by Domenico Beccafumi representing Saint Michael and, in the Chapel of the Sacrament, the refined work of Sodoma, The Nativity of Mary. It also houses the relics of Blessed Franco Lippi de Grotti (1211-1291), a Carmelite monk who performs many miracles, healings and predictions.
