LA COLLEGIATA * * * *
Hotel with delightful rooms with sumptuous period furniture
On the heights, a former 16th century convent. In 1587, the city decided to build a centre for the Capuchin friars, who were well regarded for having helped the inhabitants of San Gimignano in difficult times. Later, the convent was abandoned for a long time. It was only in 1988 that the current hotel project was born to become one of the best addresses in Italy. The rooms are charming, skilfully combining wood and stone. The period furniture is sumptuous. The Collegiata has everything to please.
