Old Benedictine Hospitalis of the 6th century offering well appointed rooms
Giancarlo and Nicolette, perfectly French-speaking, welcome you to this former Benedictine hospital of the 6th century. The Hospitalis was a refuge for pilgrims on their way to Rome. The rooms are well furnished and celebrate Tuscany. The most attractive element remains silence! A silence so invasive that it surprises. The same goes for Giancarlo's cuisine, which creatively prepares the products of his vegetable garden and puts "small dishes in the big ones"!

Where do I begin? It’s hard to capture how magical this property is - from comfortable rooms, stunning views, location, incredible food, and exceptional hospitality. We did not want to leave after our stay ended. The breakfast is divine and having dinner is a must. It’s unbelievably good. It was rainy while we were there and staying here was still the highlight of our trip. We are already planning a return!

La Val d'Orcia è un luogo magnifico, dove l'accoglienza è diffusamente di alto livello. Ma l'agriturismo Podere Spedalone è unico e speciale! Non solo per le camere pulitissime, accoglienti e con letti comodissimi... non solo per l'ottima colazione ed una cucina toscana rivisitata di buon livello , accompagnata da una cantina ben assortita... non solo per il gusto e la cura con cui sono stati eseguiti i lavori di restauro... ma soprattutto per il personale: una squadra affiatata, gioiosa, premurosa, con un grande senso di appartenenza.

personale gentilissimo e preparato che ti fa sentire come a casa!
Colazione super buona e abbondante, ricca di prodotti salati e dolci.
Camere pulite con il letto super comodo, tutto in pieno stile toscano. La ciliegina sulla torta; il caminetto acceso alla sera, un totale relax!
Interessante la cena conviviale. anche se avrei preferito in qualità di ospite, avere la facoltà di scelta. Le pietanze sono state preparate con materie prime eccellenti, che però nel menu proposto a base di pesce, non mi hanno particolarmente colpito, avrei lavorato maggiormente sui contrasti, buono l'effetto cromatico.
Agriturismo comuque super consigliato!
