TEATRO GUGLIELMI
One of the most beautiful theaters in Italy, built by the architect Vincenzo Micheli in Massa
One of the most beautiful theatres in Italy. Built in 1880 by the architect Vincenzo Micheli and inaugurated in 1886, it responds to the mayor's desire to ensure the city's cultural development. The original curtain, still preserved today, represents the Trionfo del Maestro P.A. Guglielmi alla Fenice di Venezia by the painter Annibale Gatti. The famous composer Pietro Alessandro Guglielmi, born in Massa in 1728, was particularly renowned for his harpsichord sonatas. Today, theatrical and musical performances follow one another on his stage.
