Museum that exposes the hidden part of the frescoes in Pisa.

The hidden part of the frescoes! Sinopie are the preparatory drawings for the realization of frescoes (made from red earth: the sinopia). A precious graphic testimony from artists such as Bonamico Buffalmacco, Taddeo Gaddi, or Pietro di Puccio da Orvieto. The museum exhibits important ones, relating in particular to the Last Judgment and the Crucifixion, which were then executed on the walls of the Camposanto. A collection unique in the world, discovered after a terrible fire following the bombings of the Second World War.

Ce musée est intéressant car il permet de comprendre les différentes fresques visibles dans le camposanto situé juste en face.
Le billet combiné permet de visiter ce musée + le campo santo + la baptistere + la cathedrale pour 8 euros.

Plusieurs billets sont disponible avec les différents monuments de la place 3/5/8€ pour 1/2/3 monuments (musée, baptistère, mausolée) + la cathédrale offerte. Il vaut mieux faire le mausolée en premier pour mieux comprendre les "tableaux". Dans tous les cas c'est très impressionnant
