CHIESA SAN DOMENICO
Church dating from the XIV century with the magnificent Black Madonna of Lorentino.
This Gothic church (14th century) is special. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that the marble tiles that were supposed to cover the front wall are missing. Only the finished portal stands out with the fresco representing the Madonna del Rosario by Antonio Luigi Gajoni. Inside, in the unique nave, there are also interesting works. There are two suspended organs, numerous frescoes of the Florentine and Lucchese school (14th-18th centuries), including those by Anton Domenico Bamberini, and the statue of the Black Madonna by Lorentino (13th century).
