We stayed here during our visit to Lucca. This was the worst hotel stay of our Tuscany tour. The hotel has a unique atmosphere and lobby but the rooms were not clean at all. There were hairs on bed and the towels were dirty. The heating system did not work properly. The plates served at breakfast did not look fresh.

Tutto il personale è molto disponibile e gentilissimo. Menzione speciale al portiere di notte, che si è occupato anche delle colazioni durante il mio soggiorno, è stato super accogliente e ci ha fatto sentire veramente a casa!

The hotel is in the ancient city of Lucca and if you find the right entrance in the city wall (and parking space) it would be a good start.
Unfortunately, the navigation offered us a tricky way, then we needed to get thru the alleyways packed with tourists on Sunday afternoon ... finally the receptionist helped to make us out of the ZTL risk and to get a parking space.
The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was generous, and one can order scrambled eggs or fried eggs freshly made.
The building is old but adequately modernised (with elevator). Nearby there are a wide range of restaurants and wine bars, and the main shopping area is also 5 min. walk away.
The staff are very nice and helpful, that made this journey a very pleasant one and hence we want to visit Lucca again.

Hotel dentro le mura di Lucca. Ambiente tradizionale e ricercato, proprietario molto gentile, disponibile e professionale. Parcheggio a pagamento a circa 200 metri dalla struttura. Camera non grandissima, ambiente pulito e curato. Letto molto comodo. Bagno un po’ piccolo, ma essendo struttura del 1400 si è fatto al meglio quel che si poteva. Colazione servita al tavolo. Ho preso solo pancake spremuta d’arancia e caffè. Buono. Prezzo non alto ed adeguato alla struttura, prenotato direttamente su sito hotel. Consigliato

In questo albergo non c'è solo la cortesia che, oggigiorno, la si trova in ogni hotel degno di questo nome. Compare, inaspettato,
un elemento quasi estinto... La Gentilezza, che allieta i soggiorni solitari e non. Per questo, merita un pernottamento.

Amazing experience! We were two couples and all of us felt fortunate to stay at this great hotel! Lovely rooms, excellent service, excellent breakfast, excellent location and very convenient parking service. The owner and personnel were very polite, very professional and very helpful! Ho soggiornato in questo Hotel per visitare la Mostra su Antonio Canova e mi è sembrato di immergermi in un luogo d'altri tempi, per eleganza e cortesia del Personale.
L'Hotel è stupendo, pulitissimo e molto luminoso.
Le camere sono ampie, la colazione eccellente, l'Assistenza al Cliente impeccabile.
Non posso che esprimere un giudizio pienamente positivo sulla struttura e sulla gestione della stessa.
Le quattro stelle dell'Hotel sono ampiamente meritate.

Even though this small family run hotel is not 5 star, it should be based upon the service alone. After a fraught journey to Lucca the welcome at the hotel was second to non. Friendly welcome by the owner, and no fuss check in. Upto the room which was cosy, immaculate and well appointed, bathroom larger than most, and with an oversized shower completed the comfort level! Mentioned on our way out that the room was cold, and when we returned someone had been up and turned the heat up on the thermostat we were too dumb to find! Breakfast in the morning was excellent, cooked to order, and more of that friendly, no trouble service. Booked us a taxi, and on our way. Great value and we will be returning in January. Note that the room was significantly cheaper on the web site rather than the big booking sites.

Un hotel gestito in maniera impeccabile, personale gentilissimo e sempre pronto ad aiutare ed assistere l'ospite. Siamo stati solo una notte, ma siamo comunque rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. La colazione poi, servita al piatto, è abbondante e squisita. Infine la struttura, si presta anche per soggiorni di famiglie con bambini piccoli (come nel nostro caso, 9 mesi). Anche in questo frangente abbiamo ricevuto massima disponibilità e gentilezza. Super consigliato.
