Important and impressive tower-house of Lucca with a superb view on the city

Red bricks and white marble harmoniously alternate in a set of small palaces straight out of the Middle Ages. At the top of the Guinigi Tower (count 230 steps to reach its 45 meters high), between the trees, a superb view of the city awaits the brave. You will not be disappointed! This important and impressive tower house in Lucca, dating from 1384, remains intact and announces the status of its former owner family, the Guinigi, powerful silk merchants and one of the most influential families in the city at the time.
