PETRARCA HOUSE
Petrarch's birthplace, exhibiting numerous period manuscripts.
The birthplace of the eminent poet and humanist Francesco Petrarca (1304-1374), better known as Petrarch in French, exhibits many period manuscripts. Along with Dante Alighieri and Boccaccio, he is one of the first great authors of Italian literature. It is also a meeting place for researchers, so don't be surprised by the many literary events that take place there.
Opposite, we can see the well of Tofano, made famous by Boccaccio who made him the central "character" of the seventh day of the Decameron.
