Church built in 1556 under the reign of Napoleon and now houses offices
Built in 1556, Saint-Laurent Church was once completed with a monastery. During Napoleon's reign, this area reserved for Benedictines was closed and transformed into an orphanage. It now houses offices. Only the church that houses Rosso Fiorentino's Deposition of Christ (1528) is still open to the public. The metal doors that mark the entrance stand out singularly for their anachronism and ugliness with the beautiful 16th century porch.
