CHIESA E CHIOSTRO SAN FRANCESCO
Church whose first foundations date back to 1114, with the representation of St. Francis sculpted by Antonio Broji
The first foundations of the church date back to 1114. A century and a half later, the Franciscans began building the cloister. Although most of the frescoes in the cloister, painted by Pelliccione da Colle, are damaged, it is possible to see various stages in the life of St. Francis. The main tower, rebuilt in the 17th century, evokes the Pisan style. Also of note is a sculpture of St. Francis by Antonio Broji.
