Church of the Blessed Sacrament, one of the oldest churches in Portoferraio, with several 18th century paintings.
Built in 1551, the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, one of the oldest (and most interesting) in Portoferraio, is located in a small square in the historic center, at the foot of the Salita Napoleone. Its walls are decorated with 18th century paintings, including those of Cristino Giannetti, and its ceiling is composed of painted caissons. To the left of the altar is a chapel dedicated to the dead from Elba who fell in the First World War.
