This prestigious music festival (chamber, vocal and symphonic music), which takes place in Perugia and the surrounding towns, is dedicated to the music of the 20th century. It is one of the oldest music festivals in Italy and since 1937 it has been promoting sacred music. Herbert Von Karajan, Riccardo Muti and many others have conducted performances of works by Gorecki, Bernstein and Morricone, to name but a few. This spiritual and musical moment takes place in September.
