It is an allegorical representation in dialect that tells the episodes of Holy Week. This ancient tradition has always been nourished by the Fathers of the Oratory of San Filippo Neri who have a particular devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows. The performance is punctuated by songs, praises, readings, poems, prayers and reflections inspired by the Passion of Jesus and the pain of Mary, Mother of Sorrows. If you are in Perugia in April, you can observe this Desolata.
