PIAZZA IV NOVEMBER

Immanquable Place du 4-Novembre surrounded by the most beautiful monuments.
With its irregular shapes, the 4-November square is unmistakable. It has been the heart of the city since the first Etruscans, through the Romans, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and up to the present day. Surrounding the Fontana Maggiore, it is surrounded by the most beautiful monuments: the Palazzo Arcivescovile to the west, the austere Cathedral of San Lorenzo (symbol of religious power) to the north, and the Gothic Priors' Palace (symbol of civil power) to the south. At the end of the square goes down via Maestà delle Volte, with its medieval houses.
