CAMPANACCIO
The Campanaccio is the last vestige of the fortress of Nocera representing the secular symbol of the city.
On the heights, the Campanaccio (11th century), the last vestige of the fortress of Nocera, forms a square tower topped with battlements, and represents the age-old symbol of the town. Now transformed into a bell tower (it is said to be the "voice of the city"), it stands proudly despite the damage suffered over the centuries: two sieges (in 1248 and in 1744), as well as several earthquakes. From the heights, you will have a beautiful view of the city's rooftops, even if the space surrounding it is rather neglected.
