FONT DEL CLITUNNO
A pleasant setting with a paleochristian church in Trevi, one of the most interesting monuments of the early Middle Ages in Umbria.
Crystal clear waters form a lake before flowing into the river, creating beautiful reflection effects.
Near the lake stands the Tempietto sul Clitunno, a small early Christian church along the banks of the Clitumne River. Classified in 2011 as a Unesco World Heritage Site, this temple-like sanctuary is considered one of the most interesting monuments of the early Middle Ages in Umbria. It stands on a high podium with a façade composed of four Corinthian columns. The interior has an apse with complex decoration.
