St. Peter's Church of paleochristian origin, built by Achilleo.

Also known as St. Peter's Church, the building stands on the slopes of Mount Luco, outside the walls of Spoleto. It is worth the climb up an 18th century staircase. Of early-Christian origin (built by Achilleo, Bishop of Spoleto, in the 5th century), the church was altered in the 12th century and at the end of the Romanesque period. Admire its beautiful Romanesque façade, decorated with bas-reliefs representing scenes from the life of Saint Peter. The Moorish influence of the decorations is surprising.

Wonderful example of middle Age Church for The basreliefs on the pinkish front. A soldier eaten by a Lion a peacock that eats a Snake, a deer that protects the babies biting a Snake, a man driving a coach with Two oxes and a dog, or maybe a wolf.
Impressive example of that time art, Simple but still amazing in its naturalistico approach
