The Abbey of Sant'Eutizio, founded in the century, is one of the oldest monasteries in Italy.

It is one of the oldest monasteries in Italy, founded in the5th century by the spiritual fathers of St. Benedict, overlooking the Castoriana valley. This complex is considered one of the most important places of Western monasticism. Several spiritual personalities have a connection with this place, including San Benedetto and San Francesco. Damage following the 2016 earthquake: the campanile of the Sant'Eutizio Abbey collapsed, devastating part of the monastery. Work began in 2018 and it is no longer possible to visit.
