CHIESA SAN FRANCESCO (CHURCH OF SAINT FRANCESCO)
The church of San Francesco is a beautiful example of 13th century Gothic with a 15th century bell tower.
The Church of San Francesco, located in the centre of Terni, is a beautiful example of 13th century Gothic, with a 15th century bell tower. In order to adapt the spaces to the new needs of the Franciscan community, the church, then a strategic stopping point for the friars on their way, underwent many changes between the 14th and 16th centuries. It was restored several times, especially after the Second World War, when Terni was bombed.
