Umbrian specialities are in the spotlight in this elegant restaurant in the centre of Orvieto. The food is neat and very good. Taste the taglioli with porcini funghi and the risotto with parmesan cheese and white truffles, a real treat. Wild boar, duck (duck breast with honey and citrus fruits, tarragon and carrot purée with turmeric...) and wild deer meat. For cheese lovers, take the Pecorino di Pienza with honey to end your meal! The terrace offers a beautiful view of the cathedral. Professional service and prices accordingly.

Low quality food and service. A disappointment. Staff is very unprofessional and paranoid.

An absolute joke- Avoid at All Costs!
Our Xmas Eve lunch was a surreal ordeal—hysterical staff, dismal service, and lackluster food make it a place to steer clear of.
Despite our calm demeanor in expressing dissatisfaction with a mediocre cod dish that arrived cold and half uncooked, the staff spiraled into unprofessional hysterics, reminiscent of dealing with 5-year-olds rather than a Michelin Guide spot. The chef and waitress's shouting fits, turning the scene into a Hell's Kitchen episode, was the final straw.
Upon requesting a 10% discount for the subpar experience (a hallucinating 14 euros, imagine), the chef escalated matters by calling the police. We literally started laughing and waited, which seemed to make them even more angry. To our surprise, the police were incredibly accommodating and calm, excusing themselves in the end for the restaurant's behavior and rolling their eyes at the situation. We patiently waited, understanding Italian perfectly, as the chef falsely claimed we refused to pay - clearly if that were the case we would've not waited around for half an hour - I'm also VERY pregnant, so imagine the delight to put up with their attitude - worthy of animals.
It's sad to see their unhinged responses to reviews and complaints which really reveal a disturbing trend.
The staff's psychosis extends beyond the restaurant floor to how they handle criticism. Praise is welcomed, but dare to complain, and you're in for a dragging. Their responses to reviews and former clients mirror the unprofessionalism we experienced firsthand.
The lack of humility, professionalism, and sanity in their responses was a clear warning sign.
Overall, the place is a disgrace to Italy's cuisine and charm. Even a 5-euro plastic table at an Italian market offers better service. They paint an unfair picture of Italians. No apologies, no humility—just desperation and pettiness. Regrettably, we didn't read reviews beforehand; a simple coffee and croissant would have been a happier choice. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs!
