Hotel with a very good quality-price ratio just a few steps from the Duomo in Orvieto.
Excellent value for money for this restructured hotel with 18 rooms, including five Junior Suites. The rooms, all with elegant wood panelling, are spread over three floors. Because it is located just a stone's throw from the Duomo, every detail is reminiscent of the cathedral: the works that decorate the hotel (created by one of the greatest contemporary artists in Italy, Umbria at least, Livio Orazio Valentini, who died in 2008), and the rooms that bear the name of an artist who worked on the construction of the Duomo.

The proprietors are warm, friendly and helpful answering any questions. Also patient with Americans practicing their rudimentary Italian. Breakfast was excellent—typical Italian hotel breakfast offerings with high quality fruits, cheese, fresh honey from honeycomb, meats, cereals, breads, and cake.
The cost was reasonable with breakfast included. Orvieto is interesting on many levels (literally—check the Orvieto Underground tour).
