The rest of the temple of Jupiter is on top of Mount Sant'Angelo.
The remains of the Temple of Jupiter sit atop Mount Sant'Angelo. Built in the 1st century BC, the complex comprised two temples and a series of service buildings (cisterns, porticoes, etc.). Today, all that can be seen is the podium and the mighty stone base pierced by a cryptoportico on which the buildings stood. The temple housed the statue of Jupiter as a child(anxur means "beardless"). The breathtaking view from the site stretches out to sea, taking in the islands of Ponza and Zannone.
