ABBAZIA SANTA LUCIA
Abbey dedicated to the protector of the eyes with an arch and representations on the wall
The construction of this abbey, dedicated to the protector of the eyes, dates back to 1313 according to the first texts found. The foundations of Romanesque-Gothic style are from the 9th century. From this period, only an arch remains. On the right wall of the church, Paul replaces Judas during the last supper of Christ. This unique representation in the history of Christianity makes this church a mystery. The small church in the basement has a very interesting fresco. Its long-necked women, improbable for the time, would have inspired Modigliani, among others.
