Museum of the Pelino factory dedicated to sugared almonds and nougats, the specialties of Sulmona
To discover the specialties of Sulmona, the famous sugared almonds, go to the museum of the Pelino factory, literally Museo Pelino dell'Arte e della Tecnologia Confettiera, which has been in operation since 1783. Here you can see an exhibition of different machines used to produce sweets and the reconstruction of an 18th century laboratory. Pelino's sugared almonds are sold throughout the city, mainly along Corso Ovidio, in the form of bouquets of crunchy flowers. You can also find gift boxes.
