Triangular square overlooked by the turret of the municipal palace, near that of the governor
It is impossible to visit Pescocostanzo without passing through the Piazza del Municipio, the heart of the village. It is here that the inhabitants gather around the nineteenth century fountain that stands in the center. It is a triangular and singular square, overhung by the turret of the municipal palace. Next to it, as a "copy-paste", the governor's palace, also dating from the beginning of the 15th century, bears the coat of arms of the royal family of the Habsburgs of Spain. The controlled space of the square reminds us that the Middle Ages were not an era without light.
