MUSEO DELL'OLIO
Museum in Loreto Aprutino holding an ancient press to make olive oil
Opened in 2005, this small museum features an antique olive press. Raffaele Baldini Palladini, an olive oil producer, had it built in 1880 and from the beginning of the 20th century his oil began to be exported to Europe and the United States. Visiting this museum is also an opportunity to learn that Loreto Aprutino is famous throughout Italy for its love of the land and its production of olive oil (Aprutino-Pescarese). An ancient olive growing tradition, therefore, and a unique know-how that we discover during the visit of this oil museum.
