CHIESA DI SANTA MARIA DEL LAGO
Church of the XII century, a former Benedictine abbey, near the cemetery in Moscufo.
Located near the cemetery, this 12th century church is an ancient Benedictine abbey. It is a beautiful example of medieval architecture in Abruzzo. If its facade is rather simple, its interior houses pieces of interest such as frescoes of the XII century and a fascinating polychrome pulpit by Nicodemo da Guardiagrele. The latter dates back to 1159. In the church there is also a representation of the Virgin and Child from 1490, by Andrea de Litio, a painter from Abruzzo.
