CHIESA DI SAN NICOLA

If you have some time left after strolling through the streets of Atri, take the opportunity to enter this church built in the ^13th century, on an old building from the ^11th century. It is one of the oldest churches in the town. You will notice, first of all, its façade encrusted with some glassworks around the rose window and the tympanum, which form an interesting visual effect. Inside, there is a beautiful marquetry nave and a fresco by Andrea de Litio dating from 1440, above the baptismal font.
