Cathedral with a gothic style portal, a monumental organ and a chapter house museum
The cathedral, declared a minor basilica in 1964, was built on the remains of a ninth century church, itself built on the foundations of ancient Roman baths. The rectangular facade is embellished with a portal in Gothic style, made by Maestro Rainaldo. Inside, with three naves, columns covered with frescoes (15th century) made by Andrea de Litio. Note also the monumental organ composed of 6,000 pipes, making it the largest in Abruzzo.
